Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Mail & Logistics Coordinator to support a large and well-established client in the oil and gas industry. This role allows you to apply your operational expertise in mail processing, shipping logistics, and print production within a dynamic corporate environment. The position plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of materials across multiple departments while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and inter-office correspondence across assigned facilities.
- Processes outgoing shipments, including domestic and international mail, parcels, and pouch services.
- Verifies, inspects, and documents incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepares packages for shipment, including labeling, packaging, and required documentation.
- Builds, wraps, and stages pallets for storage or transport.
- Operates pallet jacks safely to move materials throughout the facility.
- Maintains and updates internal mail routing and address systems for accuracy.
- Ensures compliance with all postal regulations and governing guidelines.
- Maintains an organized and up-to-date workstation to support efficient operations.
- Supports print production tasks and ensures timely completion of print-related requests.
- Identifies process improvements and provides recommendations based on operational experience.
- Serves as an informal resource for less experienced staff within the function.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in mailroom operations, shipping/receiving, or print production.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience handling domestic and international shipping processes and documentation.
- Familiarity with postal regulations and shipping compliance standards.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Experience with shipping and logistics systems or tracking software preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workflows.
- Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and recommend process improvements.
