About the Opportunity

A growing accounting and advisory practice is seeking an Audit Associate to join its assurance team. This position is ideal for recent accounting graduates or professionals with up to two years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, audit, or related financial roles.

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of audit engagements while working closely with experienced accounting professionals. You'll develop technical audit skills, build client relationships, and gain exposure to different industries in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion
• Prepare audit workpapers and supporting documentation
• Perform testing of financial statement accounts and internal controls
• Analyze financial information and identify discrepancies or unusual trends
• Communicate with clients to obtain requested documentation and information
• Collaborate with team members to complete engagements accurately and efficiently
• Learn and apply auditing standards, accounting principles, and firm methodologies
• Participate in client meetings and engagement discussions
• Support special projects and other assurance-related activities as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Recent graduates encouraged to apply
• 0–2 years of experience in public accounting, audit, assurance, corporate accounting, or similar roles
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship experience in accounting, audit, tax, or finance
• Progress toward CPA eligibility or plans to pursue CPA certification
• Experience with accounting or audit software through coursework, internships, or prior employment
