What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist position at Primary Pediatrics of Macon, GA?
Job Duties:
- Collecting blood samples through venipuncture and other techniques.
- Verifying patient identification and explaining procedures.
- Maintaining specimen integrity through aseptic techniques.
- Identifying best methods for retrieving blood and other specimens.
- Preparing specimens for testing and running lab tests.
- Loading samples into lab analyzers and centrifuges.
- Performing quality control and maintenance procedures.
- Recording and reporting test results.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification in phlebotomy preferred.
- Lab experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
