Job Summary
Our private medical practice is seeking a skilled Medical Biller for a full-time temporary assignment of approximately three (3) months. The Medical Biller will be responsible for end-to-end billing operations, including charge entry, claims submission, denial management, and insurance follow-up.
This role requires hands-on experience with medical billing systems, a strong understanding of coding and payer requirements, and the ability to independently resolve billing discrepancies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle medical billing, including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Review claims for accuracy and compliance with coding and payer guidelines (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and take corrective action promptly
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and insurance rejections
- Communicate with insurance companies and internal staff to ensure timely reimbursement
- Maintain accurate documentation of billing activity and account status
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on medical billing experience required
- Strong knowledge of insurance processes, claim lifecycle, and denial management
- Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding (certification a plus)
- Experience with medical billing software and EMR systems
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
This role is ideal for an experienced Medical Biller who can quickly step in and manage billing processes with minimal training.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
