The Role

Our Vice President of Technology will be our top technology leader. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll set the vision and lead execution across software, data, security and analytics. This individual will be “hands-on” and will develop and improve the methodology leveraged by the team for requirements definition, LOE estimation, functional specifications, detailed design, coding, testing, operations training, and implementation activities. You will build the platform, scale the team and make sure technology drives both patient outcomes and organizational growth.


Minimum Requirements

  • 10 years of software development experience across the full SDLC
  • 5 years in technical leadership roles with direct team management
  • 3 years building and scaling DevOps practices
  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
  • Implemented DevOps pipeline for Code Management
  • Hands-on AWS experience, specifically with EC2 and related services (VPC, Load Balancers, RDS, S3, IAM)
  • Expert knowledge of both application and system architecture
  • Deep understanding of HIPAA Security Rule and Privacy Rule requirements
  • Proven track record implementing and maintaining HIPAA compliance programs
  • Experience or knowledge implementing authentication and authorization (OAuth 2.0, JWT, MFA), Data encryption in transit (TLS 1.2 ) and at rest
  • Experience or knowledge with React-native, Java Spring-boot, PostgreSQL

 

Responsibilities


DevOps & Infrastructure

  • Build and lead our DevOps practice from the ground up, establishing processes, tools, and culture

·      Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring

·      Architect and maintain AWS infrastructure with focus on scalability, reliability, and cost optimization

·      Establish infrastructure as code practices and maintain version-controlled infrastructure configurations

·      Define and enforce deployment strategies, rollback procedures, and disaster recovery plans


 Technology Leadership

  • Oversee full-stack architecture decisions across React front-ends, Java Spring Boot services, and PostgreSQL databases

·      Lead technical evaluation and selection of tools, frameworks, and third-party services

·      Establish coding standards, best practices, and technical documentation requirements

·      Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams

·      Balance technical debt with business objectives and client deliverables


Security & Compliance

  • Own HIPAA compliance program including policies, procedures, and technical controls

·      Implement and maintain security measures for PHI across all layers of the technology stack

·      Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability management

·      Lead incident response procedures and breach notification protocols

·      Manage Business Associate Agreements and ensure vendor compliance

·      Establish audit logging, monitoring, and reporting systems for compliance requirements

·      Train development teams on secure coding practices and HIPAA requirements


Team Building & Management

  • Recruit, hire, and mentor engineering talent across development and DevOps roles

·      Build and scale technical teams to support company growth

·      Conduct performance reviews and create career development paths for team members

·      Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and innovation

·      Provide technical mentorship and knowledge sharing across the organization

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with CEO and CFO on technical strategy and business development initiatives

·      Communicate technical concepts and project status to non-technical stakeholders

·      Participate in client meetings to understand requirements and provide technical expertise

·      Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in client engagements

·      Represent our technical capabilities in proposals and presentations

  • Establish and enforce SDLC processes across all projects

·      Implement quality assurance practices including code reviews, testing strategies, and performance monitoring

·      Define project estimation methodologies and technical delivery timelines

·      Create and maintain technical documentation standards

·      Monitor system performance, uptime, and user experience metrics
