What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Coordinator position at Primary Care Office?
Seeking an experienced Administrative staff member to join a busy practice in Pikesville MD . Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Register, check in/out, verify insurance
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
- Manage daily appointment calendar
- Scheduling, reschedule and cancel appointments
- Verify insurance eligibility, payments and patient responsibility
- All administrative tasks including medical records, fax, scan etc
- Referrals
Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft office suites- Word, Excel, Share point
EMR functionality- Athena and Practice Fusion
Must be comfortable multitasking
Very professional in tone, appearance, and work ethic
Able to draft professional letters and correspondence
Knowledge of MIPS, CRISP, Meaningful Use, and other value based programs
Understands medical terminology
Degree in the Healthcare Administration Preferred but not required
