We are a private practice in Victor, NY with a welcoming, team-oriented environment seeking a Medical Assistant to join our busy Internal Medicine and Pediatrics office. Our providers work closely together to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients of all ages.
Position Details
- Full-time: 36–40 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours only – no weekends or holidays
- Setting: Private medical office
- Compensation: Competitive pay ($18.50–$21.50/hour, based on experience)

What You’ll Do
As an integral part of our clinical team, you’ll assist providers in delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and documenting medical histories
- Assisting providers with exams and procedures following established protocols
- Performing or preparing routine tests, specimens, and lab work as ordered
- Maintaining clean, well-stocked exam rooms and clinical supplies
- Coordinating patient care, including referrals, imaging, and prior authorizations
- Managing patient communication via phone or EMR with professionalism and empathy
- Ensuring accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Supporting infection control and safety standards across all activities
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in a medical office setting (experience with Medent EMR preferred)
- Education/Training: Certification in Medical Assisting preferred but not required – training provided
- Skills: Attention to detail, excellent communication, and strong multitasking ability
