Title: EKG Technician – Stress Testing
Location: Fall River, MA
Department: Cardiology / Diagnostic Services
Reports To: Registered Nurse, Physician and Office Manager
Position Summary:
The EKG Technician will assist in the delivery of cardiovascular diagnostic services, specializing in performing cardiac stress tests (exercise and pharmacologic) under the direct supervision of an RN and MD. This position ensures accurate testing procedures and patient safety, adhering to all applicable clinical and regulatory standards in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for stress testing by applying electrodes, obtaining baseline EKG, and vital signs.
- Set up and operate treadmill and pharmacologic stress test equipment.
- Monitor continuous EKG’s and vitals signs during procedure and in recovery.
- Identify and report arrhythmias, changes in condition, or abnormal EKG’s promptly to the RN.
- Places event monitors, upload patient reports, assist providers and patients with questions.
- Conducts reminder phone calls for stress test patients 2 days prior to their exam and provide instructions based on our protocol.
- Assist with restocking supplies, maintaining equipment, and room readiness between patients.
- Assist the RN in emergent situations with the ability to remain calm and responsive in high stress scenarios.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other team members to deliver quality patient care.
Minimum Requirements:
Must possess a Medical Assistant and EKG Certification, have two years minimum experience working in a related healthcare environment. Portuguese Speaking a plus

Pay: $27.02 - $32.54 per hour
