Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for food quality and safety. This role involves overseeing all kitchen operations, managing staff, ensuring compliance with health standards, and maintaining high standards of food presentation and service. A background in scratch kitchens and restaurant management is highly desirable to ensure the seamless execution of menu offerings and kitchen efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including baker, cooks, and support personnel to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Oversee menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to meet quality standards
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely food service and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor kitchen productivity, implement shift management strategies, and optimize workflow efficiency
  • Train staff on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards
  • Manage dietary department requirements when applicable, ensuring menu options meet dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Maintain accurate records of food production costs and inventory levels

Requirements

  • Proven experience in kitchen management or head chef roles within restaurant or hospitality settings
  • Extensive culinary skills with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Supervising experience with team management capabilities
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (e.g., ServSafe certification)
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage inventory effectively and control costs
  • Experience in menu planning, food service management, and shift supervision
  • Background in food industry operations including food handling, catering services, and restaurant management
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of quality

Pay: $45, $54,080.00 per year
