We are looking for a full-time temporary receptionist to join our team! There is a possibility that it could lead to a more permanent position in the future.
We are a small, independent practice with a focus on providing gold standard medicine, client education, and quality care to small animal and exotic patients. We have been in business for 50 years!
Our reception team is responsible for greeting our clients, answering basic administrative questions, scheduling appointments, surgeries, and other procedures, handling transactions, and answering phone calls.
**NO WEEKENDS!!**
**At least one year of veterinary receptionist experience is REQUIRED, but more is preferred. Because of the temporary nature of the job, we will need the candidate to jump right in and be able to learn quickly and adapt well.**
Although this job is full-time temporary, there is a chance there still may be limited hours available to continue on part-time after this position ends. These hours MAY include either reception or time as a veterinary medical assistant when needed. Therefore, any previous experience as a veterinary assistant is helpful but not required.
Shifts are typically 7:15AM-1:00PM, 1:00PM-7:00PM, or 7:15AM-7:00PM, but can vary depending on the clinic's need for coverage and availability.

Job responsibilities include:
- Opening and closing duties
- Processing client payments using the Avimark system
- Filing paperwork
- Checking clients in and out for their appointments
- Relaying notes, requests and updates to our support staff and doctors
- Answering phones
- Organizing emails
