Job Skills / Requirements

Essential Site Lead Officer Responsibilities:

• Trains officers, as needed, on responsibilities and knowledge of their post assignment.
• Ensures staff have read post orders, security directives posted on Track Tik under post orders, site regulations and pass downs.
• Keeps site supervisor informed on all security/safety matters concerning the site
• Attends client meetings with Site Supervisor as needed
• Intervenes directly only in situations that require minimal action to safeguard property or persons.
• Protects property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference.
• Remains alert for the presence of unauthorized persons and/or security code violators; approaches suspicious persons and/or notifies police as appropriate
• Review pass down activity with each contractor on site to determine compliance with pass down and site rules and regulations including parking and dress code requirements;
• Provides a daily summary report to the Security Supervisor to provide shift highlights, issues or concerns, upcoming escort or contractor needs, references to reports submitted and relays items that need to be addressed.
• Ensure the security manager is notified immediately when contractor and/or other security issues occur on the shift.
• Reviews escort needs based on escort requirements for the site and coordinate staff coverage and contractor work schedule in escort areas to ensure escort requirements are met;
• Reviews future work requirements of the contractors performing work with them and reports needs to the security supervisor.
• Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment
• Ensures only approved contractors cleared on the pass down, by the security supervisor or property management are permitted to access the site and they only access the areas they are cleared to enter.
• Reviews Track Tik and other required reports and logs for clarity, correctness, and addresses any deficiencies;
• Assists with the administration of the operation of all security related systems: access control, CCTV, badge access requirements, Track Tik and other software and systems utilized by security staff during the shift.
• Reviews utilization and maintenance of security equipment on site.

Qualifications:

At least 18 yrs of age

High school diploma or GED

Be able to pass a background check & a drug test

Be able to meet Texas DPS Level II licensure requirements and take all steps to obtain license, upon hire

Basic computer skills, at minimum

Professional Appearance – adhere to Marksman dress code

Physical Demands:

Must be able to perform rigorous foot patrol duties for an entire eight-hour shift.

Essential duties require the ability to stand, stoop, bend, climb stairs, and walk for an extended period of time

Ability to lift and move 30 lbs unassisted.
