Senior Aviation Technician Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a local manufacturing facility who is seeking a Senior Aviation Technician to join their team. The Senior Technician demonstrates excellent knowledge of Nacelles and Thrust Reversers to troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, clean and service aircraft components, equipment and assemblies (flight control surfaces, TR’s, Engine Cowls, & Mechanical Components). The Senior Aviation Technician will document all materials and work including repairs, preventative maintenance, repairs, and alterations to equipment. The ideal Senior Aviation Technician has previous Nacelles and Thrust Reversers experience including the ability to troubleshoot, repair, use tools and read schematics for repairs. The Senior Aviation Technician is a full-time, temp to hire/ direct hire position in Kent, WA.

Senior Aviation Technician Job Responsibilities:

• Sign For All Work Accomplished Including Troubleshooting, Maintenance Items, & Ensuring Proper Recording of All Maintenance/Repair Tasks on Company Documents
• Techs Will Perform All Tasks Assigned by Lead Mechanics, or Higher Management
• Properly Tag All Repairable Components
• Ensure That All Repair Work is Performed According to Procedures & Per Correct Document Revision
• Comply With All Company Rules, Regulations, & Procedures Set Forth in Company Manuals & Policies
• Keep a Constant Watch For Safety, Excessive Cost of Labor Duplication, Ensuring Proper & Adequate Equipment is Used, Acceptable Parts or Components Are Installed, & Approved Hardware or Supplies Are Used
• Keep The Work Area Clean & May be Required to Maintain or Repair Company Property From Time to Time
• Establish & Maintain Positive Working Relationships & Collaboration With Other Employees
• Develop Personal Skills For Continuous Improvement
• Follow All PPE & Safety Guidelines

Senior Aviation Technician Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Valid & Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate Preferred
• 5 Years of Aircraft Maintenance Experience on Aircraft & Repair Station Background
• Superb Knowledge of Troubleshooting Commercial Aviation, Military Experience or Technical School Education Combined With 1-2 Years of Related Industry Experience
• Technical Knowledge & Skills in Aviation Products Repair or Manufacturing
• Must be Able to Read & Interpret Maintenance Manuals & Specifications to Perform Duties
• Must be Able to Work Alone, Without Direction, & With Minimal Supervision
• Must be Able to Hand Tools & Precision Measurement Equipment Such as Micrometers & Calipers
• Manual Dexterity to Grasp & Work With Tool Parts & Equipment
• Ability to Climb & Work From Ladder or Platform, & Endure Sitting, Standing, Bending or Twisting For Extended Periods & Abilities to Lift up to 50 lbs
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills & Ability to Work in Collaboration With Diverse Teams
