Material Handler – 3rd Shift
Location: Danbury, CT
Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000/year shift differential
Schedule: Sunday – Friday, 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Position Overview
We are seeking a Material Handler to join our Distillation Department in Danbury, CT. This role combines warehouse responsibilities with hands-on support of distillation operations, including material handling, shipping and receiving, equipment operation, and process monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and package shipments, selecting appropriate containers and shipping methods.
- Prepare bills of lading and verify quantities, destinations, and routing.
- Receive, unload, weigh, sample, and process incoming materials and customer returns.
- Transport, pour, blend, mix, pump, and pack chemical materials while following safety and regulatory requirements.
- Set up and adjust distillation equipment, including heating, cooling, vacuum, and pressure systems.
- Monitor process parameters to maintain product quality, yield, and lot consistency.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and other loading/unloading equipment.
- Maintain shipping and receiving records, databases, and routine reports.
- Follow all environmental, health, safety, and adulteration-control procedures.
- Perform additional warehouse and distillation-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to complete routine paperwork, data entry, and recordkeeping.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with reading, spelling, weights, and measurements.
- Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance.
- Familiarity with piping and valve operations used to control processes.
- Knowledge of basic distillation principles and techniques is preferred.
- Ability to work with both Metric and Imperial measurements.
- Experience operating forklifts or other loading/unloading equipment is a plus.
