πΌ About the opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Scientist to support legal data workflows throughout the complete eDiscovery lifecycle. In this role, you'll collaborate with Legal, Compliance, IT, and Investigations teams to collect, process, analyze, and prepare data for litigation, regulatory matters, and internal investigations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with large, complex datasets while contributing to high-impact legal and compliance initiatives in a highly regulated environment.
π What you'll do
- Support legal hold and data preservation activities across Microsoft 365 and enterprise platforms.
- Collect, process, and prepare data for internal investigations, litigation, and regulatory requests.
- Analyze, filter, deduplicate, normalize, and organize large structured and unstructured datasets.
- Perform search term analysis and data segmentation to improve review accuracy.
- Execute analytics workflows including clustering, content grouping, and review prioritization.
- Configure review workspaces, batch documents, and prepare datasets for attorney review.
- Support document review and production while maintaining defensible and repeatable processes.
- Create reports and dashboards on processing results, review metrics, and data volumes.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and IT teams to improve data workflows and investigation strategies.
β Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong experience working with large datasets and understanding complex data structures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with a disciplined, process-oriented mindset.
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies and processes.
β Preferred qualifications
- Experience with eDiscovery or legal data management.
- Hands-on experience with Relativity and/or Microsoft Purview (eDiscovery Premium).
- Experience supporting litigation, compliance, regulatory, or internal investigation initiatives.
- Background in data analytics, information governance, or legal technology.
