What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Clerk position at Pride Plating Inc?
- Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and other purchasing documentation
- Maintain and update procurement records, databases, and logs
- Verify inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments regarding stock requirements
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm orders, and follow up on deliveries
- Track the status of orders and address any delays or discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
- Assist Quality in evaluating vendor performance
- Utilize Approved Supplier List for all Controlled Product purchases
- Coordinate with accounts payable to resolve invoice discrepancies
- Support the procurement team with general administrative duties as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in business or supply chain management is a plus
- 1–2 years of experience in a procurement, purchasing, or administrative role preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Education
Required- High School or better
