Hourly Wage: $17.75
DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
Operate specialized sewing equipment to assemble cut fabric components according to sewing diagrams, work instructions, and quality standards
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
•Refer to sewing diagrams and style-specific work instructions to sew cut fabric parts into designated subassemblies
•Operate specialized sewing machines in accordance with the manufacturers’ operating instructions
•Ensure all fabric notches are properly aligned and use the required number of stitches per inch when sewing parts together
•Select the correct sewing thread according to the color chart and ensure parts are sewn consistently without bunching the fabric
•Perform routine light maintenance on sewing machines, including cleaning, oiling, and making minor mechanical adjustments to maintain consistent stitch quality
•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
•Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training
•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
REQUIRED SKILLS
•Must be a friendly team player, detail-oriented, and honest
Must have the ability to:
•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
•Read and comprehend work instructions
•Sit for extended periods
•Lift/Push/Pull 15 lbs.
Must have:

•A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
•Good verbal and written communication skills
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
•At least 1 years of sewing experience in a furniture sewing operation or training in an equivalent function
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
•At least 2 years of sewing experience in a furniture sewing operation preferred
•Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
PREFERRED EDUCATION
•High School Diploma or GED preferred
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
