Description/Job Summary

To provide a safe and secure workplace for employees, vendors and visitors while protecting company assets

Responsibilities/Duties

• Enforce security policies and regulations related to company operations
• Monitor security camera to watch for disruptions or unlawful activities
• Perform hourly rounds of the facility to ensure the premises are secure and employees are safe
• Monitor incoming and outbound vehicles, personnel and visitors
• Assist visitors in a courteous manner while following all established company visitation policies and procedures
• Respond to all emergencies and take appropriate action until emergency services arrive
• Create and maintain a daily patrol log to document incidents and activities
• Promptly provide management with detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents, accidents, or injuries
• Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed
• Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training
• Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
• Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
• Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

• Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
• Read, analyze and interpret general business policies, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations
• Write reports, business correspondence and procedures including detailed incident reports
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, vendors, customers and the general public
• Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Communicate in a clear and concise manner utilizing a 2-way radio or cell phone provided by the company
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Lift/push/pull 40 lbs.
  
  

Must Have

• Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
• A service weapon and the ability to safely carry the firearm under Mississippi Law
• A tactical uniform; however, company will provide logo shirts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  
  

Required Experience

• At least 5 years of experience providing armed building security
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Active or retired law enforcement experience preferred
  
  

Required Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Firearm Safety Training
• CPR certification or ability to obtain CPR certification
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
