We seek a compassionate and dependable professional to support a detox clinic in a part-time contract-to-hire role.

Location: Norwich, CT 06360
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift Details:
- 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 5:30 AM – 10:30 AM
- 25 hours/week
- Must be available every other weekend
Assignment Highlights:
- Contract position with a reputable detox clinic
- Opportunity to work independently with minimal supervision
- No COVID-19 vaccination required
- CT license preferred
Responsibilities:
- Draw quality blood samples from patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and accuracy
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection including urine toxicology
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures
- Maintain detailed documentation and uphold patient confidentiality
- Deliver a positive patient experience and uphold professional conduct
- Adapt to flexible scheduling needs, including weekends and occasional overtime
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (not mandatory for CT)
- 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1 years preferred
- Medical assistant or paramedic training a plus
- Strong phlebotomy skills across diverse patient groups (pediatric, geriatric)
- Excellent customer service and data entry skills
