Xray Technician

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technician for a contract opportunity on a consistent day shift schedule. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently, and experience in both general radiology and operating room (OR) environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in accordance with established clinical, state, and federal guidelines
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and proper positioning
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, including setup, troubleshooting, and routine care
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to radiation safety protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and surgical teams to support patient care, including intraoperative imaging in the OR
• Monitor and adjust imaging procedures as needed to ensure optimal results
• Coordinate daily imaging workflow and prioritize cases effectively
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, infection control practices, and patient safety guidelines
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of imaging procedures
• Identify equipment or procedural issues and escalate concerns as appropriate
• Stay current with advancements in imaging technology, clinical practices, and healthcare informatics
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
• NJ State RT License
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification – Required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – Required
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician (at least 18 months required)
• Experience with GE imaging equipment preferred
• Prior experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting required
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting radiographic equipment
• Strong knowledge of imaging procedures and radiation safety practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Important Details:

• 13-week contract position (extensions available)
• Shift is 10 hrs/day (07:00 AM – 05:00 PM), 30 hrs/week
• Location is Morristown, NJ 07960
• Pay Range for Locals: $50 - $55 per hour
