Shift: 8-Hour Days | Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
On-Call: 1–2 days per week (required)
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable CT/X-Ray Technologist to join a Critical Access Hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong experience performing both Computed Tomography (CT) and Diagnostic X-Ray procedures while providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced rural healthcare environment. This role requires the ability to work independently, prioritize multiple imaging requests, and maintain high-quality imaging standards.
- Perform CT and general diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain CT and X-ray equipment following manufacturer guidelines and radiation safety standards.
- Accurately position patients and select appropriate imaging techniques for optimal image quality.
- Review physician orders, verify patient identity, and explain imaging procedures to patients.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the imaging and hospital information systems.
- Follow all infection prevention, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours imaging needs as scheduled.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R).
- CT certification or documented CT experience (ARRT (CT) preferred).
- Current state licensure, if required.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong experience performing both CT and diagnostic X-ray procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience operating Siemens imaging equipment.
- Previous experience in a Critical Access Hospital, rural hospital, or community hospital setting.
- Strong multitasking abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
