Trauma Registrar
Pride Health is hiring a Trauma Registrar for one of its healthcare clients in Kansas City, KS.
This is a 13-week contract with the potential to convert to a permanent position.
Location: Kansas City, KS 66160 (Remote after Orientation)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $30–$32/hour

Job Summary
The Trauma Registrar is responsible for collecting, abstracting, coding, and maintaining trauma patient data in compliance with National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB) standards and American College of Surgeons (ACS) requirements. This role plays a key part in supporting trauma program performance improvement and ensuring the accuracy of registry data.
Key Responsibilities
- Abstract and enter trauma patient data into the trauma registry.
- Review medical records and apply ICD-10 and AIS coding accurately.
- Maintain compliance with NTDB and ACS trauma registry standards.
- Validate data quality, completeness, and accuracy within the registry.
- Generate reports and support trauma program quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with trauma registry audits and performance benchmarking.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and clinical teams to resolve documentation discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Trauma Registry experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of ICD-10 coding experience required.
- Experience working with NTDB reporting and trauma registry databases.
- Current knowledge of American College of Surgeons (ACS) trauma standards.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Required Certification
- AIS-15 Coding Certificate (Required)
- Additional Requirements
- Fully remote after completion of onsite orientation.
- No weekends, on-call, holiday, or floating requirements.
