Job Description:
Job Title: Surgical Technologist → OR
Location: Wenatchee, Washington
Schedule: 36 hours/week
Shift: 3x12 Days (12 hrs)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Pay Range for Traveler: $2,100.00- $2,182.00 Weekly DOE
Position Summary:
- Works as a key member of the Operating Room (OR) team
- Performs scrub duties during surgical procedures
- Maintains a safe and sterile environment following AORN and hospital standards
Requirements:
- BLS certification (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current Washington State Surgical Technologist license
- National Certification (Association of Surgical Technologists)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties
- Set up and maintain sterile field during procedures
- Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies per surgeon preference
- Demonstrate proper use of surgical instruments, sutures, and stapling devices
- Ensure safe handling and operation of surgical equipment
- Follow protocols for cleaning, returning, and disposing of equipment
- Identify and report faulty equipment or unsafe conditions
- Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts
- Properly label and handle surgical specimens
- Respond effectively in emergency situations
