We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) to provide high-quality perioperative care in an ambulatory surgery setting. This role is responsible for managing patient care throughout the surgical process, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to clinical standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide intraoperative support
- Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond to clinical changes as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care
- Supervise and delegate tasks to non-nursing staff within the operating room
- Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment in compliance with regulatory standards
- Float within perioperative services as required
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or compact)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience
- Must have experience in Ambulatory and Perioperative
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to develop effective care plans
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- ACLS (AHA) and/or PALS certification

- 14-week contract position
- Shift is 10 hrs/day (7 am - 5:30 pm), 40 hrs/week
- Location is Neptune, NJ 07754
- Pay Range for Locals: $58 - $61 per hour
- Pay Range for Travelers: $2,680 - $2,720 per week
