Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Muskogee, OK 74401
Position Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Days – 3x12-hour shifts/week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay Range: $27.17 – $40.76/hour
Education Required: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
Licensure Required:
- Valid Oklahoma Provisional or Respiratory Care Practitioner License (RCP)
- Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) via NBRC
- BLS certification within 2 months of hire
Job Summary:
The Licensed Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating respiratory care services in accordance with hospital standards and departmental policies. This role supports both critical and non-critical care areas, ensuring safe and effective respiratory interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapies including nebulizers, metered dose inhalers, medical gas, aerosol therapy, and incentive spirometry
- Perform advanced procedures such as mechanical ventilation, intubation, extubation, suctioning, and bronchoscopy assistance
- Monitor patient response to ventilator settings and adjust as needed
- Accurately document clinical interventions and patient status in EMR systems
- Respond to emergency calls including Code Blues, RIT/CRIT, and patient transports
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and demonstrate sound clinical judgment
- Provide patient education and support wellness initiatives
- Mentor new personnel and participate in quality improvement projects
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality standards
- Demonstrate respect for patient rights and deliver care with cultural and psychosocial sensitivity

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to interpret clinical and numerical data
- Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
