Job Description
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
- At least 1 year of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting
- Licensed by the Iowa Board of Medical Licensure
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential, registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- Covid Booster vaccination
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Administering respiratory treatments and performing diagnostic testing as prescribed by medical staff
- Documenting patient treatments and responses in electronic medical records
- Maintaining and cleaning respiratory therapy equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Responding to cardiac and respiratory emergencies as part of the quick response team
