Lead Rehabilitation Services for a Growing Senior Care Program
We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Manager to oversee rehabilitation therapy services for a comprehensive senior care program serving older adults with complex medical needs. This leadership role is responsible for managing therapy operations, supervising rehabilitation staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving high-quality participant outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist who enjoys mentoring teams, improving clinical programs, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction for rehabilitation services
- Manage daily rehabilitation department operations, staffing, scheduling, and performance
- Supervise and mentor rehabilitation professionals while fostering a collaborative team environment
- Ensure therapy services comply with all state, federal, and professional practice standards
- Coordinate participant therapy programs and oversee treatment implementation
- Support participants and therapy staff with appointment preparation and care coordination
- Manage external therapy vendor relationships, including speech therapy services
- Collaborate closely with clinical and center leadership regarding staffing needs, program development, and operational improvements
- Conduct home visits as needed to oversee therapy services, equipment setup, and participant care
- Participate in business planning, budgeting, and departmental performance initiatives
- Treat participants within your professional scope of practice when necessary
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in physical therapy or occupational therapy
- Active California PT or OT license
- Minimum 5 years of rehabilitation experience
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience within rehabilitation services
- Experience treating frail elderly patients and individuals with complex medical conditions
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
Preferred
- Experience working with geriatric populations
- Background in interdisciplinary care environments
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire)
