Pay Range: $2,200 - $2,500 per week
Job Summary
Pride Health is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for a contract opportunity in Bronx, NY. The Registered Dietitian will provide comprehensive nutritional assessments, develop individualized nutrition care plans, educate patients on dietary needs and food-drug interactions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
• Screen and assess patients in an accurate and timely manner based on levels of care.
• Evaluate patients' nutritional status and develop appropriate nutrition care plans.
• Interview patients and families to obtain food habits, dietary preferences, and nutrition history.
• Interpret laboratory, physical, and social data relevant to nutrition care.
• Provide nutrition education and document patient understanding and compliance.
• Monitor and evaluate nutrition interventions and follow-up care.
• Consult with physicians and healthcare providers regarding diet modifications.
• Educate patients on food-drug interactions and document interventions.
• Modify patient menus as needed to meet nutritional requirements.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient management.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or related field from an accredited college/university.
• Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian (required).
• Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient hospital experience required.
• Strong knowledge of nutritional assessment, nutrition education, and medical nutrition therapy.
• Experience interpreting laboratory and clinical data for nutrition interventions.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's Degree.
• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES).
• Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC).
• 3 years of inpatient clinical dietitian experience.
• Experience with malnutrition diagnosis, critical illness nutrition, and diabetes management.
• Spanish language proficiency.
Schedule & Additional Information
• Full-time, 35 hours per week.
• Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
• Weekends and holidays required (typically 1–2 weekends per month).
• Interviews conducted virtually and/or in person.
• Start Date: 07/06/2026.
