Job Title: Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
Location: Rehoboth, DE
Employment Type: Part-Time (>32 hours)
Shift: Variable shifts
Salary: $25 – $43/hr
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiologic principles and anatomy, provide high-quality imaging, and ensure patient safety while adhering to department protocols. Recent hospital experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using the most appropriate techniques and positioning for optimal results.
- Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history, informed consent, and ease patient anxiety.
- Recognize and address clinical or emergent issues that may interfere with exams.
- Maintain accurate patient identification and documentation, and ensure compliance with department procedures.
- Follow radiation safety protocols, maintaining exposure levels “As Low As Reasonably Achievable” (ALARA).
- Operate imaging equipment according to manufacturer specifications and stay updated on technological advancements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including managing supplies and equipment.
- Assist in teaching radiography students as required.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, in-services, and department meetings.
- Be available for on-call, shift, holiday, and weekend coverage as required.
Qualifications:
- Delaware State Radiology License
- Licensed in the state of Delaware
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Associates Degree in a related field
- Recent hospital experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
