Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Location:Glenwood Springs, Colorado, 81601
Contract duration: 13 weeks
Shift:5X8-hours
Schedule: Days
Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer ionizing radiation for disease treatment.
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, medical terminology, oncology, radiobiology, and radiation physics.
- Demonstrate skill in radiation oncology techniques, safety practices, and patient care.
- Provide support and empathy for the psychosocial needs of cancer patients.
- Simulation experience
- Proficiency in radiation safety practices and compliance with regulations.
- Ability to interpret and deliver treatment plans per physician instructions and protocols.
- Experience with modern radiation therapy delivery systems and imaging systems.
- Breath Hold
- SRS & SBRT
- Superficial treatments
- HDR (High Dose Rate) brachytherapy
- Working knowledge of Mosaiq (highly preferred).
Requirements:
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy training program.
- Current R.T. (T) certification with active maintenance of certification.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Radiation Oncology.
- Strong Simulation experience required.
- Experience with training/mentoring peers in Simulation techniques preferred.
