Join Pride Health as a Phlebotomist at Plainview, NY! This is a 3 months contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.
Role: Phlebotomist
Location: Plainview, NY 11803
Shift Schedule:
- Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Saturday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Highlights: $17-21/hour (Based on years of experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
- Ensure proper patient identification and labeling to maintain specimen integrity
- Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients, ensuring a positive experience
- Handle pediatric, geriatric, and adult patient populations with care and professionalism
- Maintain accurate records and documentation using EMR systems
- Follow all safety, compliance, and infection control protocols
- Work independently while managing high patient volumes
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and staff
- Support both clinical and forensic specimen collection as needed
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience – Required
Note: Local candidates within 30 miles are eligible.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
