Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility based in Oconomowoc, WI 53066

. This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Oconomowoc, WI 53066

Schedule: One position would be 5:30 am-2 pm Monday through Friday and every other weekend 4:30 am to 9 am, with one day off during the week.

OR

The second position would be 6:30 am-3 pm Monday through Friday and every other weekend 4:30 am to 9 am, with one day off during the week(40hr/ week)

Pay Range: $18-$22.35(Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume

Responsibilities:

• Experience doing blood draws, labelling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Stores specimen samples according to the required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels and follows different procedures as outlined by specific protocols deemed necessary for transport to maintain the integrity of the specimen.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 yr. of phlebotomy experience is required.
