Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client's healthcare facility in Harker Heights, TX. This is a 13 weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

Location: Toms River, NJ 08755

Job Type: Local contract

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Pay Range: $24-26/hour*

*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Duties:

• Perform high-quality venipuncture and blood specimen collection following established procedures
• Perform pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood collections
• Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens accurately and safely
• Explain collection procedures clearly to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence
• Verify patient demographic information and required documentation
• Obtain patient signatures following venipuncture as required
• Verify that specimen tubes are correctly labeled and that patient information is accurate
• Prepare and process specimens according to established laboratory procedures
• Maintain accurate records and required documentation

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Years of experience: Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience required
• Skills/Specialties/Technology: Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
