Duties:
- Perform accurate and safe venipuncture and blood specimen collection.
- Collect specimens from pediatric, geriatric, and adult patients.
- Perform capillary collections as required.
- Prepare and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.
- Verify patient demographic information and obtain required patient signatures following venipuncture.
- Verify that specimen tubes are properly labeled in the patient's presence.
- Maintain accurate patient, specimen, and other required records and documentation.
- Explain collection procedures to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Years of experience: Minimum 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience – REQUIRED
- Skills/Specialties/Technology: Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
