Job Title: Pharmacist
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11213
Contract Duration: 13 weeks probable extension
Shift: Night
Pay Rate: $85/hr - $90/hr
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy – Required
- New York State Pharmacy License and current registration – Required
- Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of medication preparation, dispensing, and dosage calculations
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
- Computer and medication-order entry skills
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate physician medication orders.
- Prepare, calculate, label, and dispense medications.
- Review medication profiles for allergies, interactions, and therapeutic duplications.
- Clarify questionable or incomplete orders with physicians and nursing staff.
- Compound IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition solutions.
