Pay: $52-57/hourly
Shift: Night Shift (3×12 hours) | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: 05/18/2026
Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to deliver high-quality respiratory care in a fast-paced, acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric care and be comfortable working night shifts, including rotating weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide respiratory therapy treatments to pediatric patients
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient respiratory status
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and ventilator support
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide critical care support
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and treatment plans
Requirements:
• Active Illinois state license (must be in hand at submission)
• Required certifications: NRP and PALS
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
