PACU Registered Nurse

Location: Edmonds, WA
Shift: Varied day shift hours
Schedule: Weekdays only (no weekends or holidays)
Scrubs: Provided

We are seeking an experienced Pre‑Op / PACU Registered Nurse to provide direct, patient‑facing perioperative care. This role is responsible for performing both pre‑operative admissions and post‑anesthesia recovery in Phase I and Phase II settings. The RN will ensure patient safety, comfort, and clinical excellence throughout the surgical experience.

• Conduct comprehensive pre‑operative patient admissions, including assessment, patient history review, medication reconciliation, IV initiation, and patient education prior to procedures.
• Provide post‑anesthesia care in both Phase I and Phase II PACU, including continuous monitoring of airway, vital signs, pain control, and recovery progression.
• Assess, recognize, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns to anesthesia or surgical providers as needed.
• Administer medications and interventions according to physician and anesthesia orders.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria safely and provide clear post‑procedure instructions when applicable.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative care team to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal outcomes.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Prior Pre‑Op and PACU nursing experience required

• Ability to independently perform both patient admissions and recovery care
• Strong clinical judgment in fast‑paced perioperative settings
• Excellent communication and patient‑education skills
• Calm, organized, and adaptable approach to patient care
