Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist for a contract assignment in NYC. This role involves preparing medications, supporting clinical teams with pharmacological information, and monitoring patient medication therapies. The ideal candidate will have experience handling chemo prep and be comfortable floating between multiple units.
Key Highlights:
- Chemotherapy preparation required
- Float between Critical Care, Pediatrics, Oncology, Transplant, Medicine & Cardiac units
- Direct involvement in patient therapy management and medication accuracy
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and promptly.
- Provide pharmacological guidance to multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Monitor and assess patient drug therapy, ensuring safe and appropriate usage.
- Offer therapeutic and dosing recommendations using evidence-based literature.
- Conduct patient education regarding dosage, schedule adherence, side effects, and medication interactions.
- Support clinical workflow across assigned departments as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
Must Have:
- 2 years experience as a licensed Pharmacist
- Chemo preparation experience required
- Ability to float across critical care areas including:
- Pediatrics | Oncology | Transplant | Medicine | Cardiac
Education:
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
Assignment Details:
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Day shift, Mon–Fri (7:30 AM–4:00 PM)
- Hours: 40 hours guaranteed per week
