We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in MRI operations, committed to patient safety and comfort, and capable of maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of imaging and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures in accordance with established protocols and quality standards
- Prepare and position patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and clear communication
- Review imaging orders and manage daily scheduling effectively
- Prepare and administer contrast media accurately when required
- Process and deliver imaging results within required timeframes
- Collaborate with radiologists to optimize imaging quality and protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records, logs, and exam documentation
- Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions
- Ensure proper charging and documentation of all procedures
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the work environment
- Transport patients safely as needed
- Assist team members and provide coverage within the department
- Support inventory management and report supply needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed MRI Technologist (2 years preferred)
- High School Diploma required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active MRI certification (ARRT - MRI) required
- Valid state MRI license required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) required
Important Details:
- 15-week contract position (extensions available)
- Shift is 8 hrs/evening Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, 40 hrs/week
- Location is Hackensack, NJ 07601
- Pay Range for Locals: $50 - $55 per hour
- Pay Range for Travelers: $2,550 - $2,600 per week
