Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool (Med/Surg/CV)
Location: Hawaii
Shift: Nights – 12 hours (18:45–07:15)
Schedule: 36 hrs/week (after orientation)
Contract: 13 weeks
Role Summary
Seeking a flexible Float RN to work across Medical, Surgical (Laulima), and occasionally Cardiovascular units. The role requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and willingness to float based on patient care needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care across multiple units (Med/Surg/CV)
- Perform assessments, medication administration, and treatments
- Handle equipment such as wound vacs and chest tubes
- Document using Meditech EMR
- Utilize Pyxis for medication dispensing
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Unit Details
- Medical Unit: 77 beds
- Laulima (Surgical): 18 beds
- Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds (rare float)
Requirements
- Experience: 2–10 years RN
- License: Active Hawaii RN License (mandatory by start date)
- Certifications: Required: BLS
- Preferred: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, Procedural Sedation
Additional Details
- Must float between units as needed
- No guaranteed hours
- Proof of immunity required (no exemptions accepted)
- Dress Code: Clean, professional scrubs
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
