Pride Health is hiring a Medical Scheduler (Patient Access / Procedural Scheduling) for one of its clients in Massachusetts.

This is a 3-month contract with possible extension, with competitive pay and benefits.

Location – Worcester, MA 01655

Pay range - $19 - $23 per hour on W2.

Length of assignment – 3-month contract (possibility to extend)

Shift – Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Medical Scheduler to coordinate patient appointments, procedures, diagnostic testing, and specialty services in a high-volume outpatient healthcare setting. The ideal candidate has strong healthcare scheduling experience, knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorizations, and experience using Epic or a similar EMR.

Job Duties

• Schedule patient appointments, procedures, imaging, and specialty services.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain referrals and prior authorizations.
• Answer and manage high-volume patient phone calls.
• Coordinate appointments across multiple providers and departments.
• Update patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Provide patients with appointment and procedure preparation instructions.
• Perform general administrative and scheduling support while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years of healthcare scheduling experience (or 1 year with an Associate's/Bachelor's degree).
• Experience with insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Epic or comparable EMR/EHR experience preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and multitasking skills.
