Medical Laboratory Scientist

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Lab Scientist to support our client’s medical facility-based “Erie PA 16509, This is a 3-4-months assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Position Name: Medical Lab Scientis

Location: Erie PA 16509

Pay rate: $40/hr-$55/hr

Duration: 3-4 months with possible extension

Shift: 10pm – 6:30am (rotating weekends and holidays)

Job Description:

Performs routine and some moderate-complexity lab tests under supervision using automated and manual methods. Ensures accurate testing, reporting, and compliance with lab standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Handle specimen processing, testing, and result reporting

· Operate and monitor lab instruments and automated systems

· Perform manual testing procedures when required

· Review and release test results accurately

· Maintain documentation, records, and quality control logs

· Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and lab safety guidelines

· Identify and resolve testing issues or escalate when needed

· Report critical results as per protocol

· Maintain lab cleanliness and reagent tracking

· Participate in training, meetings, and safety programs

Qualifications

· BS/BA in Chemistry/Biology or associate degree in Lab Science/Medical Technology (preferred)

· 1–3 years of clinical lab experience (preferred)

· Strong multitasking, prioritization, and communication skills

· Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and provide good customer service
