Medical Laboratory Scientist

Pride Health is hiring for a Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our client’s facility at Great Bend, KS 67530.

Job Summary:

The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) will perform a wide variety of laboratory tests and analyses to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating patients. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, quality control, and analytical instrumentation to ensure accurate and timely results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complex laboratory testing across multiple disciplines using established procedures and standards.
• Analyze and interpret results, ensuring accuracy and reliability in patient testing.
• Conduct quality control, preventive maintenance, and calibration on lab instruments.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot testing procedures or equipment when results are inconsistent.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures to maintain a safe laboratory environment.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate degree in Laboratory Science or equivalent military training eligible for ASCP or NCA certification – Required

Certifications:

• ASCP, NCA, AMT, or equivalent certification (or eligible within 6 months of hire) – Required

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of MLS experience – Required

• Location: Great Bend, KS 67530
• Job Type: Direct Hire (Full-time)
• Schedule: 7 on / 7 off rotation

Options:

• Day Shift: 3×12-hour shifts (10:00 AM – 10:30 PM) and 4×10-hour shifts (12:00 PM – 10:30 PM)
• Night Shift: 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and 4×10-hour shifts (9:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekends & Holidays: Required per schedule rotation
• Pay Range: $24 – $34/hour
