Pride Health is hiring Medical Lab Technician to support our client’s team in Blacksburg, VA. This is a full-time, 13-weeks contract.
Job Summary:
This is a unique hybrid role that combines the responsibilities of both a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) and a Phlebotomist. The selected candidate will split time between performing laboratory testing and collecting patient specimens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine laboratory testing and analysis.
- Process and prepare specimens for testing.
- Operate laboratory instruments and maintain quality standards.
- Document and report test results accurately.
- Follow laboratory safety, quality control, and regulatory procedures.
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
- Verify patient identification and prepare patients for collection.
- Label, process, and transport specimens.
- Maintain excellent patient care and customer service.
- Ensure proper specimen handling and integrity.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience
- Associate’s Degree
