Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility based in Frisco, TX 75033. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Name: Medical Assistant
Location: Frisco, TX 75033
Duration: 3 months Contract (Possibilities of extension)
Payrate: $20-23/hr. On W2/Pay Rate is based on experience.
Schedule: Mon to Fri (5 days/wk.) / 7 am - 4 pm or 8 am - 5 pm (depending on clinic needs)
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical duties within Medical Assistant scope of practice in accordance with policies and Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO).
- Operate diagnostic equipment and perform procedures without interpreting test results.
- Remove superficial wound staples, change dressings, obtain cultures, and administer non-intravenous medications as directed.
- Collect specimens via noninvasive methods and obtain blood samples through venipuncture or capillary puncture; perform EKGs.
- Conduct quality control checks and prepare, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment using an autoclave.
- Room patients per protocol, prepare them for examination, and document care accurately and promptly in the medical record.
- Coordinate patient care activities as directed by physicians and in alignment with company standards.
- Maintain exam and treatment rooms by cleaning, stocking supplies, sterilizing instruments, and following infection control precautions.
- Perform patient intake (phone and in-person) limited to information gathering, maintain confidentiality, and provide courteous patient service.
Qualifications:
- High school/GED or equivalent.
- Current, Medical Assistant Certification/ Registration or ability to obtain within 120 days.
- Current, BLS certification.
- Phlebotomy experience and bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
