Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility, located in Fishkill, NY 12524. This is a 3 month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

• Job title: Medical Assistant
• Location: Fishkill, NY 12524
• Duration: Contract
• Pay: $20 - $23. on w2/Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
• Shift: 8am - 5pm; 7:30 am - 4:30pm, 8:30 am - 5:30pm & occasional Saturdays 9-1.

Note: Occasional travel to Poughkeepsie for coverage needs.

Specific Duties:

• Rooms patients according to policy and procedures, prepare patients for examination
• Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
• Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies.
• Respects patient confidentiality always and treat patients with courtesy and respect.
• Organizes exam and treatment rooms, stock and clean rooms and sterilizes instruments.
• Practices standard infection control precautions
• Telephone and in-person screening are limited to intake and gathering of information without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge
• Provide data reporting and tracking on HEDIS Measures
• Process referral authorization requests for patients.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 1 years of experience required.
• Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or RMA.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
