Mental Health Clinician – Travel Contract

Job Type: Full-Time Travel Contract

Schedule: 5×8-hour shifts | Days

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract: Travel Assignment

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician to provide comprehensive behavioral health services in a correctional healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment, counseling, treatment planning, documentation, and crisis intervention skills.

Candidates must have open availability for scheduling based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health screenings and comprehensive clinical assessments.
• Review available records and conduct clinical interviews to evaluate patient needs.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluations and level of functioning.
• Provide individual counseling, psychological support, and crisis intervention.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches as appropriate.
• Accurately document assessments, treatment activities, interventions, and evaluations in the healthcare record.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive patient information.
• Apply established psychological counseling theories and techniques in clinical practice.
• Provide appropriate mental health services to address a wide range of behavioral health needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other members of the treatment team as required.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in:
• Social Work
• Psychology
• Mental Health Counseling
• Or a related clinical discipline
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including at least 2 years in a comparable position.
• Active, unrestricted state license appropriate to the position.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum age: 21 years or older.
• Valid driver's license preferred unless required by applicable contract or law.
• Strong clinical documentation, assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention skills.
