Pride Health is seeking a Lab Technician for an American multinational food corporation.
Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Plymouth, MN 55447
Job Type: Contract
Length: 11-Months
Hours: 40 hours/week. Rotational weekend work required
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.10 per hour
Overview:
The Laboratory Technician supports the Molecular Biology and Fermentation R&D teams by performing daily laboratory support tasks. After training, the technician will work independently to maintain routine lab operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare media and agar plates
- Restock laboratory supplies
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain glassware
- Collect, manage, and autoclave laboratory waste
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab support areas
- Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of laboratory equipment
- Assist with sample collection for scientists (including rotational weekend work)
Qualifications:
- Some laboratory experience preferred
- Understanding of sterile techniques and strong biosafety practices
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn the operation and general function of laboratory equipment
Additional Details:
- Rotational weekend work required
