Lab Technician III

Pride Health is seeking a Lab Technician III for an American multinational food corporation.

Job Title: Lab Technician III

Location: Plymouth, MN 55447

Job Type: Contract

Length: 6-Months

Hours: M-F 8:00-4:30 PM CST; with some flexibility

Pay Rate: $28.00 - $33.03 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Complete routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of the food safety quality and operational teams.
• Testing performed for routine analysis of in-process and final product testing, checking and monitoring instrumentation performance.
• Conduct testing as well as document results of tests into databases and communication test results verbally and in writing.
• Use safe laboratory practices to protect self and others, checking proper functioning of stations, routinely attending safety meetings, and performing preventive maintenance and calibration of complex standard equipment and instruments.
• Support trials and experiments under the direction of more senior team members.
• Resolve problems by examining and evaluating data; select corrective steps.
• Identifying problems with atypical test results consulting with senior-level personnel.
• Keep laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
• Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Science related field
• 1-3 years experience outside of school, but not necessary
• Be comfortable with weighing up and diluting samples to proper range
• Confident in a lab and experience with pipetting and balance use

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three or more years of experience within a laboratory or food manufacturing environment.
