Hospital Pharmacist – Inpatient (Contract)Location: Manhattan, NY Schedule: 5×8 shifts7:30 AM – 4:00 PM → Day Shift3:30 PM – 11:30 PM → Evening / Swing Shift10:00 PM – 8:00 AM → Night / Overnight ShiftContract Length: 13 WeeksGuaranteed Hours: 40 hours/weekSetting: Inpatient Only Job SummaryWe are seeking a Hospital Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week contract to support clinical and operational pharmacy services within an acute care hospital. The pharmacist will be responsible for safe medication preparation, dispensing, clinical review, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams across multiple inpatient service lines. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, compound, and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.Perform chemotherapy preparation in accordance with hospital policies and safety standards.Review medication orders for accuracy, dosing, interactions, and contraindications.Provide pharmacological and therapeutic recommendations based on patient age, diagnosis, and pharmacokinetic principles.Resolve formulary and non-formulary medication questions.Monitor medication therapy and document interventions as required.Educate patients on medication use, dosing, side effects, and drug interactions.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals.Float across inpatient units as needed, including:Critical Care / ICUPediatricsOncologyTransplantMedicineCardiac Units Required QualificationsGraduate of an ACPE-accredited College of PharmacyActive Pharmacist license (state-specific requirements apply)Chemotherapy preparation experience (required)Ability to work in a fast-paced inpatient hospital environmentStrong communication and clinical decision-making skills Experience0–2 years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist preferredNew graduates with strong inpatient or clinical rotations are encouraged to apply Job TypeContract (13 weeks)Full-time hours guaranteed (40/week) Benefits (if applicable)Competitive weekly payConsistent scheduleOpportunity to work across advanced inpatient specialtiesPotential for extension based on performance and hospital needs Ready to join a dynamic hospital pharmacy team?
