Location: Knoxville, TN (Onsite)
Duration: 3 months (91 days) - Contract to Possible Hire
Shift: 3rd Shift (11:30 PM - 8:00 AM, Monday-Friday)
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
Pay rate : $35/hr - $37.50/hr on W2
Job Overview:
Labcorp is seeking an experienced Histotechnologist II to support laboratory operations in Knoxville, TN. This role is ideal for candidates with strong hands-on experience in embedding and microtomy, working with both large and small tissue samples.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform embedding and microtomy on tissue samples
- Handle biopsies and various tissue types efficiently
- Maintain productivity standards:
- Embed: :50 blocks/hour
- Cut: :30 slides/hour
- Ensure accuracy and quality in all histology processes
- Support lab operations during high-demand periods
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of hands-on experience in:
- Embedding
- Microtomy
- Strong experience with large and small tissue specimens
- Ability to meet productivity benchmarks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a high-volume lab setting
- Experience working with Labcorp or similar diagnostic labs
